Zoom Integration
EventAxis's Zoom integration lets event organisers run virtual and hybrid sessions on Zoom directly from EventAxis. It is optional, and each organiser connects their own Zoom account.
1. Overview
EventAxis's Zoom integration lets event organisers run virtual and hybrid sessions on Zoom directly from EventAxis. When an organiser publishes a virtual or hybrid session, EventAxis can create the Zoom meeting, register confirmed attendees for it, and read back attendance for event analytics.
The integration is optional. Nothing is sent to Zoom unless an organiser chooses to connect their own Zoom account.
2. How to Connect
In the EventAxis dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations → Connect Zoom, then approve the Zoom consent screen. Each organiser connects their own Zoom account; the connection applies only to that organiser's events.
3. Permissions We Request
EventAxis requests only the permissions it needs to operate the integration. Each permission is used only for the stated purpose:
- Create a Zoom meeting for each virtual/hybrid session you publish.
- Register each confirmed attendee so they receive a unique, personal join link.
- Cancel an attendee's join link if their registration is cancelled or refunded.
- Read post-session attendance (join time and watch minutes) to power your event analytics (read-only; requires a paid Zoom plan).
- Identify the connected Zoom account so we can honour uninstall/deauthorization requests.
4. Data We Access and Why
When you connect Zoom, EventAxis sends a registered attendee's name and email address to Zoom to register them for the session and issue a unique join link. After the session, EventAxis reads back attendance data (join time and watch duration) for your event analytics.
We never access your Zoom recordings, chat, or your Zoom contacts.
5. Data Storage & Security
EventAxis stores your Zoom OAuth tokens encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. These tokens are never shared with third parties and are used only to operate the integration for your events.
6. How to Disconnect or Uninstall
You can remove the integration at any time in one of two ways:
- In EventAxis: Settings → Integrations → Disconnect.
- In Zoom: Zoom App Marketplace → Manage → Added Apps (Installed Apps) → find EventAxis → Uninstall.
When you uninstall from the Zoom Marketplace, Zoom notifies EventAxis and we delete your stored Zoom tokens and connection data within 24 hours, in line with Zoom's data-compliance requirements.
